Patient Assistance Programs
Patient assistance programs (PAPs) is the name typically given to voluntary efforts by pharmaceutical companies to make some of their drugs available free of charge to patients who would not otherwise have access to prescribed drugs. PAPs are of particular interest to safety net providers serving large numbers of low-income, uninsured patients, who are most likely to qualify for this voluntary assistance.
